My paper-mâché puppets are inspired by the handpuppets, or glove puppets, of yore.
The puppet's heads and shoulders are made of paper-mâché, they are painted and varnished and rest upon a metal stand.
The handsewn robe, where the puppeteer's hand would go, is made of vintage and antique textiles and falls over the shoulders of the puppet, creating the body of the puppet
Bragi & Precious
Precious loves all things beautiful, she collects and keeps what she finds. She loves the sparkly lights of the opera where she visits often.
Bragi is made of melancholy and lives in the shadows of wherever Precious goes.
His tears of pearls are for Precious to keep, and she beads them into pretty necklaces.

I take great care in packing my artworks as securely as possible,
using recycled* bubblewrap and sending in a sturdy mailing box.
