Chrysalline is one of my dolls in the Metamorphosis doll couple.
She is still drifting in the world of sleep, not quite ready to be reborn,
yet the fragile butterfly wings safely strung around her neck are a promise of some kind of rebirth.
She is crowned with an earthy crown made of wire and string and her belly is filled with sheep wool,
creating a warm nest-like feeling inside of her.
Chryssaline is made of textiles and clay. Her hair is of alpaca and white feathers,
the moth-like 'tail' between her wings is of Teeswater fleece.
The necklace is made of butterfly wings hand sewn into transparent sheets of plastic
The doll sits on a handmade seat created with wood, hand-dyed velvet, trimming, upholstery nails and chess pieces. The doll measures approx H 47 x D 37 x W 24 cm's
A tiny handmade booklet with her story will accompany her

Shipment takes place from the Netherlands, EU with Track & Trace.
I aim to ship within a week after purchase.
You will receive a shipment notification with tracking link via my shop.
Please keep an eye out for any updates about delivery dates,
if items are returned to me, new shipment costs must be charged.
I take great care in packing my artworks as securely as possible,
using recycled* bubblewrap and sending in a sturdy mailing box.
However, if you wish to have your shipment insured against loss or damage,
please contact me for a special courier shipment quote straight after your purchase.
