My paper-mâché puppets are inspired by the handpuppets, or glove puppets, of yore.
The puppet's heads and shoulders are made of paper-mâché, they are painted and varnished and rest upon a metal stand.
The handsewn robe, where the puppeteer's hand would go, is made of vintage and antique textiles and falls over the shoulders of the puppet, creating the body of the puppet
The Artist of Metamorphosis
She is just a girl, like any other, a simple bun ties her dark hair together and the stained blue rags make her a fine dress to paint in.
But when she paints and she creates, the world around her starts to change.
Yes even she changes and she slowly transforms, like a butterfly she enters the realm of magic, where everything is possible and the elements are sacred.
