Goddess of the Underworld,
Bringer of the Spring season
At 125 cm's tall (49" inches) she is a large hanging doll sculpture that would truly be a focal feature in any room.
Her body, arms and legs are made of textile,
with a clay face and neck that has been crackled for a porcelain effect.
The bodice is made of layers of scallop shaped pieces of antique silk.
Her hair is made of mohair in dusty pink and blonde, woven into a braid with pearl beads sewn into it.
A large Apophyllite mineral stone is worked into the chest of the doll and is framed with an edge of gorgeous antique lace.
Her arms and legs feature hand embroidered branches and leaves.
Her legs are attached to the body via buttons and fabric hooks.
She has a wooden plate in her back into which a metal hanging hook is securely fastened for display purposes.
