THE SWAN MAIDEN
This textile doll called The Swan Maiden is inspired by the H.C. Andersen fairytale
'The Ugly Duckling' in which the strange little duckling, bullied and excluded by the other animals, transforms into a beautiful, gracious swan.
The Maiden wears a raggedy linen dress, patched up with pieces of cloth, roughly stitched,
as she is yet to be transformed. Around her however, a beautiful swan has already presented herself, wrapping her neck and wing around the girl.
Materials: cotton, linen, vintage fabrics, 1920's silk and feather,
mother of pearl buttons, alpaca hair, beads
Measures 87 cm's tall and hangs from a hook on the back

🎨 ABOUT PANTOVOLA
I make handmade textile sculptures and art dolls since 2015 inspired by Fairytales and Folklore, Victorian Ghost Stories, Dreams and the Natural Queendom.
My creations are all lovingly made by me in my homestudio using mostly vintage & antique fabrics and curios, water based paints and air drying clay.
I try to give a good representation of the artworks with my photographs,
however some colours may slightly vary depending on screen calibration

As per EU regulations I accept returns.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer
📮 SHIPPING
Shipment takes place from the Netherlands, EU with Track & Trace.
I aim to ship within a week after purchase.
You will receive a shipment notification with tracking link via my shop.
Please keep an eye out for any updates about delivery dates,
if items are returned to me, new shipment must be charged.
I take great care in packing my artworks as securely as possible,
using recycled bubblewrap and sending in a sturdy mailing box.
However, if you wish to have your shipment insured against loss or damage,
please contact me for a special courier shipment quote straight after your purchase.
