A Memento Mori box
this Memento Mori piece is called Triumph to The Gods.
It is a miniature dress displayed inside a handmade, silk lined wooden box with museum glass lid.
I created it for my exhibition 'Into the Ivy' in 2024.
I made the dress by hand using vintage textiles and antique lace. It is covered in little bits of glass, stones and crystals. On the heart I have sewn a small red 'wound' with mirror inside it and a little braid falls alongside it. Pages from an antique french poetry book are rearranged creating new poetic scentences upon the dress.
L 60 x W 29 x D 5 cm's
The piece is displayed lying down flat, but do let me know if you wanted to have it hung.
In that case I can attach a hook on the back.

Shipment from the Netherlands, EU with Track & Trace.
I aim to ship within a week after purchase, if for some reason it will be longer, I will contact you with an estimate shipping time.
You will receive a shipment notification with tracking code or link via my shop.
Please keep an eye out for any updates about delivery dates,
if items are returned to me, new shipment costs must be charged.
I take great care in packing my artworks as securely as possible,
using recycled* bubblewrap and sending in a sturdy mailing box.
However, if you wish to have your shipment insured against loss or damage,
please contact me for a special courier shipment quote straight after your purchase.
